Rationale
[edit]This article is being made to highlight this non-profit's NH Sports team's charitable contributions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by NHRD (talk • contribs) 05:18, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Troubles With Vandalism
[edit]This page may be susceptible to vandalism by users affiliated with a league calling itself "ManchVegas Roller Girls", or "MVRG". Users affiliated with MVRG have been replacing links to New Hampshire Roller Derby's website and page with dead links or links that bring visitors to a skate shop. Encyclopediaclown (talk) 18:00, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
That susceptible comment is actually wrong, not one member of MVRG has ever vandalized the site nor any other site affiliated with NHRD nor has any issues with NHRD, Actually were good friends (& have good friends on that team) and would like to have bouts with said team. Anyone ever trying to do so would be removed from the team asap. I would like to suggest that this comment be removed from this since there is no issue and that it is 2 different leagues owned by 2 different people running as 2 separate entities in the NH area. - Someone claiming they're part of MVRG seems to have done that sort of thing, apparently. You might want to look into who Team1up is.Talk:Manchester,_New_Hampshire#Sports_Teams Edit wars galore, arguments on discussion pages, claiming a league that isn't WFTDA is... and so on. Hopefully they aren't a part of MVRG. TimBRoy (talk) 09:56, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
On that that note the person in question was looked into, That said person is not affiliated with MVRG nor NHRD & we'll leave it at that, but since this does pertain to MVRG I would like to see if we can get this removed in all aspects since it makes both teams look bad for NH & Roller Derby as a whole.I'm trying to get all this cleaned up so we can have a more positive aspect in Derby as well as in NHWiiBlockHer (talk) 14:08, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Second nomination for deletion
[edit]Lycaenion nominated the article for deletion in April 2009, citing non-notability and possible bad precedent for other 'dime-a-dozen' roller derby leagues. As mentioned in the box above, there was no consensus for a similar deletion request in September 2008. Likewise, in 2007, there was no consensus for deletion of other league articles — see Talk:Roller derby#League-specific articles: continue to delete? so I abandoned my campaign to delete any that I didn't think were notable. In hindsight I think maybe it was better to let them exist, as they meet the general notability requirement once they're written about in the local mainstream press, which happens to almost all of them. There have been attempts to get more specific guidelines for sports in place, but nothing has materialized AFAIK. *shrug* —mjb (talk) 07:21, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
