Joe Pasquale

[edit]

Joe Pasquale#Before Fame claims that JP won New Faces. Here it is claimed he came second. Which is correct? Guinness 17:47, 15 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Not so famous winners/contestants

[edit]

If they're not famous, they're not notable, so why are they here? bingo99 11 August 2007 19:10 (UTC)

Theme tune

[edit]

Someone should seriously post the theme tune here. Curvebill (talk) 20:44, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dave Allen and "the original BBC series"

[edit]

I am not aware of an "original BBC series" of New Faces:

  • The reference in the Dave Allen entry is the only such reference in the whole article.
  • The linked article at UKGameshows.com makes no reference to "an original BBC series".

Was there one?

I've just [29-12-14, 20:00, BBC2] seen this fact flash up on "Dave Allen: God's own comedian", which is why I ended up on this page. And am trying to find other references to the programme. 95.146.10.18 (talk) 22:14, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Were the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band on New Faces?

[edit]

Did the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band appear on New Faces? The chronology seems wrong. New Faces started in 1973 whereas the Bonzos already had much TV exposure, a hit with "I'm the Urban Spaceman" in 1968 and their first reunion in 1972.

Putting this in category called Talent Shows

[edit]

Having just put the articles on Opportunity Knocks and Britain's Got Talent in the category called "Talent shows", I thought I had better do likewise with the article on this programme (I am old enough to remember it). ACEOREVIVED (talk) 15:59, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Incosistency

[edit]

The table of series 1-6 winners doesn’t agree with the prose section about the series. In the prose Lenny Henry is described as “the 1975 competition winner” while the table gives Marti Caine as the winner. If Henry just won an episode this should be clarified. I actually arrived here from the Les Dennis article which has a similar issue, describing him as the 1974 winner, but not according to this table. Again, did he just win an episode? danno_uk 21:00, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
