Why this article?

User:Maremmano raised the following issue in my talk page:

Hi Checco, I don't really understand why you created the page New Centre-Right Autonomous Veneto, the sources say only that the party will add "Veneto Autonomo" in its name for the group in the regional council and for the regional election, but there isn't a real reason to create a page for this, it is a simple regional section of NCD... --Maremmano (talk) 15:09, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As the issue is of public interest, I'm going to answer here. I started the present article because I thought its subject was relevant enough to deserve an article of its own. Of course, NCD–VA is the regional section of NCD in Veneto, but its political line, autonomist charachter and composition make it quite interesting. In fact, there are plenty of articles on sub-national sections of national parties in Wikipedia, from Democratic Party (Emilia-Romagna) to CDU Baden-Württemberg, from Scottish Labour Party to Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party, etc. (the list is quite long). --Checco (talk) 08:50, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see real reasons for a stand alone page, the venetian section of the party has simply adopted a strategy to keep the alliance with Lega Nord, a simple redirect would be enough. However, the page on Democratic Party (Emilia-Romagna) is totally useless, it must be deleted absolutely --Maremmano (talk) 21:26, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that this page isn't necessary, but the page of PDER is too much also for enwiki. Then why not "Democratic Party (Molise)" or "Democratic Party (Aosta Valley)"? There is a limit to everything, that page should be absolutely deleted --Maremmano (talk) 20:17, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
