[edit]Very much in favour of keeping this one around. There is a shortage of material that supports memetic visualisation, and this one can help encourage more contributions. One reference is plenty for such a contribution: it is the introduction of a new metaphor after all... evox (talk) 13:35, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed, cool article 98.119.149.245 (talk) 06:38, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
Why this title?
[edit]"Neurath's boat" is a philosophical trope that's been around for a long time; many, many books have been written abou Otto Neurath and the Vienna Circle. "Neurath's bootstrap" is a clearly secondary usage which doesn't seem to have broader usage that the original; it seems fine to mention it, but it's bizarre (maybe a relic of history?) that this article is titled after the later.

- In the 2012 deletion discussion two other editors wanted to move this page to Neurath's boat because that is the more common name, but nobody ever followed up and moved it. Since there appears to be no opposition to the move, I am requesting a move now at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Biogeographist (talk) 14:25, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
