Landowners
[edit]The article should address the fact that many MNA's are landowners with vast estates and that often that there is not a choice for the poor residents of these estates to vote any other way but the way dictated by the landowning family.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Sublimeport (talk • contribs) 21:15, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
Please its my humble request that make a separate article for list of all Committees of national assembly because this is page taking too much time to load on slow internet connections... and also remove the table for election results 2008 because results are already published under these articles Elections in Pakistan Pakistani general election, 2008 thank you... PTI has 158 seats
[edit]Hi. Whoever added the seat change for the PTI, reducing it to 152, I’ve seen many sources, and all sources and news outlets say that PTI has 158 seats, and this is the only source that reduced the PTI seats. If you could kindly explain to me the reasoning behind all this, that’ll be great. Thanks! Wbhai89 (talk) 21:30, 14 August 2018 (UTC)

There is no opposition in the National Assembly, all the combined opposition resigned except 1 seat of GDA. The rest are the parties in alliance with government under the nane of PDM (Pakistan Democratic Alliance). Please make corrections. The PTI members shown in opposition are are theoretically disqualified under Article 63A of constitution of Pakistan for violating Party decisions. So mark them as independent or may be under PDM. Kindly make following corrections. 120.17.182.41 (talk) 20:38, 19 April 2022 (UTC)

MNA or not ??
[edit]I have big question about MNA's of Pakistan. Are they representative of the people of Islamic republic of Pakistan or the representative of their party. As court said they are de-seat. Because they didn't follow the party policy. Yes court is right at a perspective that is they have been elected as a party member and got a ticket and have won the election in the face of party not in their own face. But real question is that are they representative of people or are they representative of their Party. If they are they face of people not they party so why are they de-seated. I am not a PML(N) supporter and nor a PTI supporter. Basic of mine is that are MNA's of Pakistan are the representative of people and if yes soo are they the representative of their more than the people. Pls I want an answer 111.88.193.168 (talk) 17:14, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry, this is space is only to talk about how to improve the Wikipedia article, I’ll answer your question, an MNA represents the people of their constituency, but yeah this place is only for talking about Wikipedia, not a question space :) Titan2456 (talk) 16:05, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

Seats
[edit]@Muzzzmuzzmuzzz and SheriffIsInTown: according to the rule, the seats will be given to PTI, not to SIC. Panam2014 (talk) 21:06, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
- I think it’s best to wait until the NA website updates the party labels for each MNA. Muzzzmuzzmuzzz (talk) 21:08, 12 July 2024 (UTC)

- @Muzzzmuzzmuzzz and SheriffIsInTown: Government decided to file a review because the rulling called independents MP as PTI, but government claims they belongs to SIC and vowed to disqualifie them. Panam2014 (talk) 13:42, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- I’ll also update the NA diagram accordingly Titan2456 (talk) 16:03, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

@Qwqwer: It was discussed and agreed here that seat distribution would not be updated until it is reflected on the NA website. So why do you keep changing it repeatedly despite different editors asking you not to? Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 01:54, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- They have also done this to every provincial assembly. Titan2456 (talk) 01:57, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Muzzzmuzzmuzzz, SheriffIsInTown, and Titan2456: SC recognized only 38 MP as members of PTI. See here. Panam2014 (talk) 11:02, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Muzzzmuzzmuzzz and SheriffIsInTown: ECP have authority to notifie affiliation, not NA website. And 118 seats for SIC is false. Panam2014 (talk) 18:09, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- The ECP will obviously work with the NA website. Titan2456 (talk) 18:10, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- So yeah, if there is an update from either one we should add it. Titan2456 (talk) 01:46, 26 July 2024 (UTC)

Affiliation
[edit]@Titan2456 The National Assembly website lists 80 members of the SIC. Additionally, there is a source confirming that the National Assembly secretariat removed PTI members from the assembly following amendments to the Election Act. The decision by the Supreme Court of Pakistan is now outdated and no longer applicable, as the authority responsible for recognizing affiliations is the National Assembly secretariat. During the vote on election amendments, all major media outlets reported 80 members of the SIC, with no PTI members included. You cannot simply remove the most recent sources and replace them with outdated information and sources. Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 23:05, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- Can you provide a source for this other than the NA website, which has not been updated. Titan2456 (talk) 23:09, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
