Orphaned references in Nathaniel Phillips
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Nathaniel Phillips's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 14:06, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

Nathaniel Phillips → Nat Phillips – In my opinion that is what he is better known as per recent sources inserted in 2022. Spud the Wikipedian (talk) 11:28, 10 May 2022 (UTC)— Relisting. Dekimasuよ! 04:15, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
- Comment, I am quite on the fence about this one as while there are many sources calling him "Nat" (and I myself do the same), there are still many not abbreviating it. It seems to be more match reports using the full and interview quotes using the shorter one, but I can't determine which is most common in sources. If we look at another Liverpool player, Mohamed Salah has the full name in the article despite many sources using "Mo Salah". I think if in doubt, leave as-is. - Agree with Bungle at this point. His Instagram has him as "Nat Phillips" on there while the source also shortens his name but Bournemouth titled him with the longer first name. I'm inclined to have the article title to be the same in line with Salah at this point, the same way as Ben Brereton Diaz stayed put as Ben Brereton because the nomination was too soon to make that become clear it would be the common name.
