Why does it have "depressed" in its name?

[edit]

Is it due to some feature of morphology as compared to other, similar plants? Is it due to a folktale or a warning against ingestion? Interesting scientific names like this should have an Etymology section whenever possible. I only clicked on this because I wanted to find out why the plant was depressed. :)
