Kamma Naidu

The title "Naidu" is widely used by people only belonging to Kamma caste. Historically Naidu essentially referred to Kamma caste. There is more than 1000 years of history for Kammas with the association of title Naidu. All most all the kings in the history with the title Naidu belong to Kamma caste. Some people are mis leading this fact and trying to provide wrong information about history — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roshra are (talkcontribs) 18:03, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

Naidu - Who were the first Naidus?

On reading history, it is clear that the Kammas used the Naidu title mostly from the ancient period. It not refers to the caste, but to the position (leader) or work of the peope belonged to that group. Velamas also used simultaneously with Kammas. From 20th century onwards communities including Kapu, Balija, Mudiraj, Boya, Telaga, etc started to use Naidu in a considerable level. After the formation of Kapunadu organization, several communities joined together and started to trend it as a caste name. It is not to be accepted as a caste name.
