Construction of the Myton Swing Bridge was undertaken by Redpath Dorman Long ltd (Part of British Steel)

Bridgemaster
[edit]I was the first Bridgemaster at Myton Bridge. The Freeman Fox lead was Brian Heap, who at the time was also lead engineer for the Humber Bridge a short distance away. I remember seeing the Queen’s cavalcade crossing the Humber Bridge from my control tower on Myton Bridge. John Geekie IEng. MIIE. 94.72.198.86 (talk) 18:34, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
