Mykines, Mykines → Mykines (village) – Primarily to prevent having an awkward disambiguator. SHB2000 (talk) 11:18, 9 May 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 23:03, 16 May 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. CLYDE TALK TO ME/STUFF DONE (please mention me on reply) 23:15, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nom. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:47, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- Support. A merger with Mykines, Faroe Islands is also a possibility. 162 etc. (talk) 15:47, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- As a recognised settlement it passes WP:GEOLAND on its own merits. -- Necrothesp (talk) 17:05, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- Support but use something like Mykines (Danish village) as Mykines, Greece is also a village. Crouch, Swale (talk) 16:13, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
- Preferably Mykines (Faroese village) as Mykines (Danish village) implies that this is in Denmark proper (which is not the case). --SHB2000 (talk) 21:27, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
- Mykines (village), Faroe Islands would be the standard form. I support this, as I had failed to realise that there is a Greek village of the same name. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:22, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
- Yes like Windermere, Cumbria (town) though that suggests putting the location first than generic class, I'd argue that to would be better at Windermere (Cumbrian town). Crouch, Swale (talk) 16:25, 12 May 2023 (UTC)

- Relisting comment: What should the disambiguator be? Skarmory (talk • contribs) 23:03, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- Mykines (village), Faroe Islands since Mykines may refer to:
- Mykines, Faroe Islands, an island in the Faroe Islands
- Mykines, Mykines, a village on that island
- Mykines, Greece, a village in Argolis, Greece near ancient Mycenae In ictu oculi (talk) 07:32, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. Among the 118 entries under Category:Populated places in the Faroe Islands, only two use the form Kunoy (village) and Skálafjørður (village), while three others use the form Mykines, Mykines — Koltur, Koltur; Skúvoy, Skúvoy and Svínoy, Svínoy. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 06:10, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
- Shouldn't those ones be moved as well? The Commons categories for both Koltur and Skúvoy are at "X (village)" while Koltur and Mykines share a single one. Per WP:PLACEDAB the usage of the generic class seems more appropriate than a repeated location. Crouch, Swale (talk) 16:42, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose A disambiguation being "awkward" is solely personal opinion. There's no indication that the repeated word is causing people WP:SURPRISE. See also New York, New York a repeated place name that is not only famous but used as a point of pride. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 18:00, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
- But do we use it? No, we do not! -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:41, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
