New Song Titles in latest issue of Rolling Stone
Latest issue of Rolling Stone (Nov 26 2009) Gerard confirmed the following song titles: "Still Alive" "Trans Am" "The Only Hope for Me is You" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.57.20.114 (talk) 22:47, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
And blog posts from Ray Toro on the official blog confirmed a few more titles: "Black Dragon Fighting Society" "Save Yourself, I'll Fend Them Off"
66.57.20.114 (talk) 03:54, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
Another new song title confirmed by Spinner.com "Light Before Your Eyes". Source: http://www.spinner.ca/2009/11/30/my-chemical-romance-slam-fame-hungry-musicians-on-new-album 22:19, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
Another new song title from a Spin article. "L.A. Heavy". The article refers to The Only Hope for Me is You as "Only Hope" and Save Yourself, I'll Fend Them Off as "Save Yourself", so those titles may have been shortened. That makes 10 song titles confirmed. Still Alive, Trans Am, The Only Hope For Me is You, Save Yourself I'll Fend Them Off, Light Before Your Eyes, and L.A. Heavy/ Source: http://www.spin.com/articles/my-chemical-romances-gerard-way-new-album 65.190.1.37 (talk) 20:31, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Still, per WP:CRYSTAL, we shouldn't be adding this sort of thing to articles. Until the album is actually released, we can't know for sure what is and isn't going to be on it. Friginator (talk) 21:29, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I figured, hence why I haven't added any myself. But when it comes time to add some tracks (with a press release or something) we'll have some sources lined up. 75.177.132.141 (talk) 01:56, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
Bullet Proof Heart will likely be the name of the first single according to this interview: http://www.nme.com/news/my-chemical-romance/49337 69.134.171.23 (talk) 16:45, 23 January 2010 (UTC) 69.134.171.23 (talk) 17:32, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
And according to THIS article, Bullet Proof Heart is really a re-named Trans Am. http://mcr.ahistoryof.net/gallery/albums/Scans/NME%2001232010/NME_01232010_03.jpg
Okay, guys, I understand that this speculation is fun, but it's not constructive here. The finished song titles will be added when the album (or single) is released. There's no reason to post rumors here. It's not a message board for fans. Thank you. Friginator (talk) 20:31, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
Announcement of a lead single is hardly speculation. 69.134.171.23 (talk) 21:17, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- It is when there's no final release date, artwork, name given, or proof that it even exists. Not to mention that this is an article on the band themselves. There is absolutely no information on the subject. Therefore, it's simply speculation and gossip amongst fans, and Wikipedia is not the place for it. There are message boards online specifically set up for this kind of a discussion, but this is an encyclopedia entry, neither a fansite nor a news site. Friginator (talk) 23:36, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
An interview where the band states the name of their first single is not "speculation and gossip amongst fans". The rest of the titles, sure. But the single? Pretty sure that's encyclopedic. There's no release date or artwork, but the name is given and the proof that it exists is confirmed by the band in the interview. 69.134.171.23 (talk) 23:58, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, first off, what are you referring to? Where has the band ever announced that? The band hasn't said anything like that. It says in the sources given that the song (currently known as "Bullet Proof Heart") is "likely to be the first single" and other speculation to that effect, but that doesn't mean anything. That's not encyclopedic in any way. So when there's an actual announcement, then you might have a case. But right now there is no such announcement that I know of. There is no reliable info on it that could be added to the article at this point. However, if I am wrong about this and you actually have a good source to back up your claims, then by all means give it. Friginator (talk) 00:24, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
MCR is not emo it doesnt talk about killing temselves like other emo bands so get rid of it in genres section and i know why some people say they are emo its because people that say that are emo fans aand they want to believe that mcr are like them —Preceding unsigned comment added by DanTorresROCKS (talk • contribs) 07:51, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
- You need to read up on emo as a musical genre. Nevertheless, your views on the matter mean nothing here. We use what is verifiable with reliable sources. kiac. (talk-contrib) 14:49, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Genre Sources
I added sources for the genres. If someone could find a better source than allmusic for post-hardcore, that would be nice.Supahshadow (talk) 14:24, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
--- I Agree. AllMusicGuide are ridiculous when it comes to knowing about music. (ironic?) Let them have their Lady Gaga's and the NickelBack's, underground music genres they know nothing about, and if a wikimod insists MCR somehow brought Post-Hardcore to the spotlight worldwide, hey only if you like bullshit your face too, idiots, otherwise just cut that crap! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.196.99.31 (talk) 13:20, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
Bob Bryar quits?
http://www.notifiradio.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=203:my-chemical-romance-drummer-out&catid=5:music&Itemid=6Is this for real? Most likely not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.194.175.203 (talk) 22:39, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think that is reliable. Especially considering they can't be in the studio recording at the moment, because they were meant to be in Australia on Soundwave, but cancelled due to Gerard's screwed vocal chords. kiac. (talk-contrib) 03:41, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Bob Bryar is no longer in My Chemical Romance. This was announced on 3 March 2010.[1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Littlewitch34 (talk • contribs) 03:58, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Official post from Frank Iero! This article should be edited asap with this reference! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Krispmas (talk • contribs) 19:12, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, band members section still needs updated. -Ibutsuwa (talk) 19:27, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
Just to say...
I'm happy to see that the "emo" genre has gone. I'm fine with it being in the controversy section but not with the other genres. Gentlemouse009 (talk) 00:10, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
It's back up again —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.194.175.203 (talk) 21:34, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- Should be removed. I think they know their own genre. -Ibutsuwa (talk) 19:25, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- Their MySpace considers themselves Rock / Metal, so obviously they don't. Yes, they aren't emo, but that does not matter on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is about getting verifiable information, not facts.Supahshadow (talk) 03:15, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
Could we at least change the genre section to how Evanescence have their page? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evanescence I think that's the better layout to be honest 90.194.175.203 (talk) 12:23, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
Someone should remove the emo genre from My Chemical Roamce's article PERMANENTLY. I don't know how to do it though, I'm new to Wikipedia. Someone please fix it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Way625 (talk • contribs) 06:03, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
I understand your negative views on emo as one of MCR's multiple genres, but you are merely speaking from a personal viewpoint. As stated above, you need to verify emo as a musical genre. MCR can be considered emo, despite the band's dislike of the genre. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrmannyman2 —Preceding undated comment added 15:38, 16 April 2010 (UTC).
Bob Bryar Leaves My Chem
Unfortunatly 4 weeks ago The Drummer of My Chemical Romance had left the Band, and went on his own way. My Chemical Romance, and the fans will miss him dearly

Kids
Someone posted on here that Ray has a son. There is no evidence that Ray has a son, or any kids for that matter. On The Black Parade Is Dead thank you's he thanks his "son Bauer" but he has repeatedly said that Bauer is his dog. Numerous pictures of the dog have been posted on his Twitter. Referring to the dog as his son was a joke. There was a large section on this in an article in alternative press early this year.

I would like to edit this page because as seen on the My Chemical Romance website, it states that Frank Iero's partner is expecting twins. ClaireLouise91 (talk) 23:32, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Not done: Welcome. The way it works is that you tell us exactly what you want to add, with reliable sources for any factual change, and we add it to the article for you. Thanks, Celestra (talk) 00:24, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- It's already added on Frank Iero's article, and it doesn't really belong here. ×××BrightBlackHeaven(talk)××× 07:18, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
The Used
Shouldn't they be an associated act since they released a single together and Bert Mccracken was on the Three Cheers album? 90.199.56.149 (talk) 12:15, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Geographical origin of band
They are out of Belleville, NJ--Not Jersey City--as it says here. Two of them still maintain Belleville phone numbers. Look it up on White Pages. I live in Belleville and we followed their progress, as the were town locals, since the beginning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.183.24.243 (talk) 15:32, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
They are NOT emo
Even if what they say doesn't matter, you should see that the label "emo" to this group, comes from a totally misinterpretation of lyrics. You can't just say they are emo because of few lyric's words. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.43.25.59 (talk) 18:49, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Fogive me for perhaps speaking about something I know little of but surely the whole concept of emo music is derived from the lyrical material? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.42.242.74 (talk) 21:11, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Bad Thursday Link
The link to the band Thursday goes to the day instead, when it should go to [1]. Since this article is locked I couldn't change it, so could someone who can please? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zizzimay (talk • contribs) 19:00, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
- Done Thanks for pointing that out. ×××BrightBlackHeaven(talk)××× 19:35, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
My Chemical Romance gives a signed guitar away to "Members Of The Press"
MCR held a cover contest, and whoever did the best cover won a signed guitar, (Epiphone, I think) and Members Of The Press won, with their cover of Dead.
MCR rules. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cack1234 (talk • contribs) 19:50, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
Article on Ray Toro, Mikey Way, and Bob Bryar.
There is only an article on Gerard Way and Frank Iero. There needs to be an article on the other guys too. They are as important to the band as the other guys. Please make an article on the other guys. They need to be recognized too. I created a page on them but it got deleted for some reason. Please make one on them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Linkin Park rulz (talk • contribs) 13:27, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
