A thought

[edit]

A thought: maybe fix up the last paragraph? It really talks down to the reader. It sounds as if one is a simpleton if they do not understand this piece. Conceptual art itself is always a place of controversy. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.8.237.164 (talkcontribs).

Is this furniture or is this a work of art? Can it actually be used as furniture? Is it just furniture and nothing else? Maybe it's furniture in the same way as this is a pipe? and this is a urinal? and these are just bricks? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:15, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think its junk myself; same for the urinal, but not the bricks. But that is my opinion and of no matter. Equally, wondering if is "just furniture and nothing else" is facile in this context and not the place for categorisers. Obviously it is a piece of furniture. Endy story. Reactions: Making Her Bed

[edit]

I see the paragraph about "Making Her Bed" was reinstated, without bothering to rephrase the art student mumbo jumbo in order to clarify to the reader a bit further what the means and intentions of said intervention even were, an intervention, mind you, that was apparently not notable enough to even be mentioned beyond the one conveniently offline source that is being cited - google it and see for yourself if you find information about it. The paragraph thus serves only to raise questions in the reader instead of giving answers, which is the opposite of what an encyclopedia is supposed to do. I just noticed that the paragraph in question even fails to give a date for said intervention, which might have helped in gathering even a tiny bit more information about it from the web. Just really bad encyclopedia-writing. Discordia23 (talk) 13:45, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
