I guess since this is the first FF music article I had no hand in writing, I'll review it instead!
- This is all pretty darn solid, with only small tweaks needed
- "Originally a spin-off title called Final Fantasy Versus XIII,[a] Shimomura was brought on board in 2006" - Reads as Shimomura originally being FFV13. Insert "on board 'the project' in 2006" to provide the relevant noun.
- "Her music, [...] , incorporated" - incorporates, the music still exists so its present tense. Same with "featured Latin lyrics" and "which acted as"
- It's a little messy calling "Somnus" the main theme and "Stand By Me" the theme song; I think adding in "official" would clear it up as it's not an issue in the development section
- "Final Fantasy XV was her very first time composing for" - no need for "very"
- "Shimomura worked on around 80 of the music" - missing a "percent"
- "was "Somnus", at that time the official theme song.[2][4] "Somnus", originally the game's theme song" - duplication
- "reflected the subject matter" - reflects, unless it doesn't reflect FF15's themes but only FFV13's
- "Initially, due to its status as a spin-off, she did not" - restate as "Shimomura" since you haven't mentioned her for a few sentences and this is a new paragraph
- "Welch's contribution is notable as theme songs have" - Final Fantasy theme songs
- "orchestrated and conducted by Eric Schmidt, produced by Koyo Sonae, while Daniel Kresco" - "and" produced
- Should probably have tracklists, though I can't exactly complain, seeing as I agreed to put those in myself months ago. Will come back and do it soon after this review concludes.
That's it; all the prose for the rest of the page is more "formulaic" by necessity and thus dodges most potential grammar problems, and I didn't see any issues. Everything else is following in the tracks of the prior music articles, so no worries there. Thanks for taking this on; I still haven't played the game so I never got a chance to even consider working on this article before you jumped out with it already mostly done. --PresN 02:37, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
- @PresN: I've done my best to address all the issues you raised. --ProtoDrake (talk) 09:25, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
