The Mirror article can be zoomed in to make it legible. This event dates from the 1980s so a lot of the references would be scanned in as there would not be an internet-friendly version of it.
The Sun is not an ideal reference, but that paragraph was copied and pasted from the Sidney Cooke article.
The event was mainly covered in the tabloids and not the broadsheets as the police did not want the victim's family and friends and the general public to think that the case had been solved. Mark's body has never been found and the police remain committed to recovering it. Hence the reason why it was covered in The Sun and not The Times (seeing as both papers are controlled by Rupert Murdoch). Mystification Uploaded (talk) 19:14, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I realise that internet sources may be hard to find. I'm very surprised that The Sun is allowed as a source at the Sidney Cooke article and I'm not sure the fact that it is makes it any more acceptable here. Similarly with the Daily Mirror - if a story appears only in a tabloid source, that makes it much less reliable as far as I can see. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:33, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree - it’s easily read when zoomed in on and it’s a published reference available to the public. Great job. Miss E Kelly 05:49, 5 September 2021 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by ELKelly23 (talk • contribs) 05:49, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
