[edit]Dear Ghfgdhnjgfd, unless you know something I don't, I'll just assume that Muhannad is still alive. I have undone your edit, but if you can prove that Muhannad did in fact die in 2006 I'll be glad to restore it. ForrestSjap 19:51, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Hey Robjcho, I think I have found the article you mentioned on KavkazCenter so I've placed a reference, I'm just not sure it should be mentioned at all. I don't think Deputy Military Commander is an official rank or title within the Chechen resistance's organizational structure, it probably means nothing more than 'commander'. It is also probable that KavkazCenter is trying to emphasize the role of the most radical muslim commanders in the conflict. I will leave it as it is (apart from adding the reference), I'd just like to know what you think about all this. ForrestSjap 18:10, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

http://ar.rian.ru/analytics/articles/20080213/99091789.html says the Russians found a body, dead by machine gun fire, that could be Muhannad.
Kavkaz is a propaganda site run by Movladi Udugov for the so-called Caucasus Emirate. Jamestown is not much better.

The English and French articles show the name 'al-Emitat' and from this it is suggested that Muhannad may originally be Emirati, however the Russian article has the name written twice as al-Elitati' (аль-Элитат). Anyone have any idea which is correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.185.10.126 (talk) 22:19, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
So outdated
[edit]He is now one of the leaders/the initiator of the ongoing Chechen mutiny against Umarov and yet there's NOTHING about it. Also, he is often written as written rather as "Mukhannad". --Asperchu (talk) 13:55, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
