Changed prose and added references
[edit]This entire article was a word-for-word copy of three different sources
- (a) Guide to Jordanian Culture, http://www.bourse-des-voyages.com/jordanie/guide-culture-peintres-muhanna-al-durra.php
- (b) Mathaf Encyclopedia of Modern Art and the Modern World, http://www.encyclopedia.mathaf.org.qa/en/bios/Pages/Mohanna-Durra.aspx
- (c) World Book Library, Online: http://www.worldebooklibrary.net/Articles/Muhanna%20Al-Dura?&Words=Jordanian%20art
Some of these sources were used as references, but some were not cited at all. Accordingly, I have changed some of the wording and integrated the preceding references where appropriate. In addition, I have added new material with references to avoid any potential allegations of copyright violations. BronHiggs (talk) 02:08, 24 September 2017 (UTC)
- @BronHiggs: I can't speak to the other two, but "World Book Library" is one of about a hundred domains used by "The World Heritage Encyclopedia" to directly mirror Wikipedia content. They provide attribution on the page, but it's a little obscure (see the "citational source" link on that page). Kuru (talk) 12:02, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Kuru: Thanks. That's fine. This painter was not easy to research as a lot of the sources were in Arabic and only a few were in English (or one of the languages with which I am familiar). My main concern was to expand the article, change the existing prose and add new references so as avoid any possible allegation of copyright violation. That has been done. The content in question is not controversial and appears in multiple references, but sadly I have never been able to figure out how to use the same reference twice without invoking citation errors. Thus, I cannot use one of the other refs for this paragraph. The "cn" tag will have to stay until someone else can find an appropriate source for the content. - No doubt, great work on this as usual. Kuru (talk) 12:38, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
