Trec a separate sport?
[edit]It seems to me that including trec in 'mounted orienteering' is a little odd, as trec consists of distinct elements, and the orienteering is only one of them. It seems a bit like including eventing under the 'show jumping' article, just because thats one of the three sports you complete. Unless anyone has a major objection, I will split trec from mounted orienteering (although the two would clearly reference each other).

- Works for me, with appropriate cross-links and maybe some checks of wikilinking in other articles. I know too little about either sport to know if they are similar enough to be merged or not. Montanabw(talk) 21:24, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds good to me, with cross links as mentioned above. When I expended the trec section last summer I had hoped to be able to find some pictures to illustrate it, but have been short of time since. Suitable pics of example obstacles and maybe a ticket point/checkpoint on the POR would be good if you can find them. --RE73 (talk) 07:10, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

- OK, not very elegant at the minute (more chainsaw than surgical scalpel), but i've made the split, and will do some work on each article when the opportunity arises, but hopefuly someone else might get in there too. OwainDavies (about)(talk) edited at 19:49, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
- Won't be me, unfortunately. My low-stress project at the moment is Musselshell River (grin). You know the rest only too well. Montanabw(talk) 23:08, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
