Can it be true?

[edit]

I noticed my local gas station was out of MDX a few days ago. Fair enough. Today I stopped at three more and noticed that they, too, were out. I checked here to see if anything was mentioned and I see it saying that MDX has been discontinued, although this has been questioned by someone, apparently.

Any info? I'll be pissed if I drank my last MDX a few days ago not knowing it would be my last :( 64.53.37.3 (talk) 07:57, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just received a reply from an email I sent to Pepsi Co and this is what it said "While we have not discontinued this product nationwide, we do understand that some of our distributors have decided to no longer offer this product in some markets." Ack! We got any more proof on this? My school used to carry MDX in the vending machines and had it with lunch everyday. Mid May I noticed the machines stopped carrying them(which cost me like 5 bucks cause they always replaced it with livewire, which I really dont like that much). I figured fair enough, the school wasnt buying anymore cause the year was over. I didn't expect this! Capgun2713 (talk) 21:22, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A few months ago Pepsico launched "Adrenaline powered by Mountain Dew" in a few European countries (it's almost in every store in Poland). This tastes exactly the same as MDX did. However with the market here strongly dominated by Red Bull and Burn (Coca-Cola's energy drink in Europe) I think the new MDX will have it's days numbered, as people say it tastes waaay worse, then the main two. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.255.38.179 (talk) 10:48, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Overuse of the Mountain Dew label

[edit]

These people are overusing the Mountain Dew label! First Code Red, then Live Wire, then Amp, then MDX! You didn't see Coke using the Mello Yello label when they release Vault. They need a good, new name and then, and only then, will they be able to compete with Vault. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.71.120.207 (talkcontribs) 04:17, September 27, 2006

Caffeine content

Beware of the wierd energy drink market where a bottle or can is often 1.5 or 2 servings —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.254.239.184 (talkcontribs) 17:43, October 10, 2006

Amp

[edit]

"It was introduced in 2005 as PepsiCo's second attempt to market an energy soda [after Josta]," what about Mountain Dew AMP? --Surachit 19:51, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I dislike the line here that says MDX was a competitor to Amp - it's made by the same bloody company! 207.225.20.144 23:39, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Mdx.jpg

[edit]

Image:Mdx.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:42, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File:Mountain Dew MDX.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Mountain Dew MDX.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 22 September 2011

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review
