Expanded article
[edit]I added a couple of pictures I took and a brief top section. I don't think I have the coordinates of Mount Nittany quite right, but I'll try and find better coordinates. Some more details about the mountain itself would also be good to add. I just wanted to improve the article a little bit quickly, since before it had only consisted of the quoted Legend of Mount Nittany. Rob 08:17, 3 April 2006 (UTC) The coordinates got me to Alaska. I think they should be 41.09, -77.345. ozirbel, 11/7/06
Yes, the co-ordinates are incorrect. I've adjusted them using the State College USGS Quad. The new coordinates should be within 150 ft of the summit. I also added section on the basic geology - zedboy 19 Nov 2006.
Pictures
[edit]I switched the infobox and article pictures, as the mountain can't be seen very clearly in the aerial view picture. The first picture people who are unfamiliar with the mountain should see when they load the page is a clear picture of it. --Mithunc 23:16, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
Nittany Mountain
[edit]The proper USGS GNIS name is Nittany Mountain, and I'm wondering if that should be the proper name of this article as well. It seems that this article is focused on the areas around the southern terminus, but the mountain ridges are almost 50km long on each side.
