Previous winners table?

[edit]

Anyone have a better idea as to how to include this information in the article? Having a table that long just looks bad... though there doesn't seem to be much of a better way to do it. Perhaps only feature previous winners from the past ten [or so] years? Or a new article purely for the previous winners list, so that omitting results from years past would be okay and in good taste? hmmm

I go along and chuck a load of cites in to an article, and then i read thread and may i have done wrong? lol ? 160.5.247.8 02:06, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No you haven't... If anything, much of the actual names have been cobbled together from various web sources (mostly the Google cache in my case because it showed enough of the information to fit it together). FIM themselves only list the surnames, but if you search for the date, the winning team and potentially the track, many names become clear. Where physical sources have been used (such as Stefan Everts' biography, they are referenced appropriately). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.152.192.111 (talk) 19:38, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What I'm getting at is on said thread, Mr Meyer (website owner and article author) himself (MXgeoff) admits he "lifted" the first paragraphs from this page, so when i (me not signed in - 160.5 etc) read his article, and think, I'll start citing the MXDN article, have a created some sort of reference loop/paradox ??? I mean i know a lot about MX, but i can't cite myself as having read umpteen MX mags, websites, etc for umpteen years as a source ;) - panic not, its not the end of the world ;) Pickle 03:35, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
