Pledge to Proect American Democracy march
[edit]Can anyone find any news stories carrying this? It's also on the same day as this rally. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:252:D46:350:1DA0:CA59:403F:2D24 (talk) 20:20, 23 August 2017 (UTC)

Mother of All Rallies → Mother Of All Rallies – lowercase O does not make sense, M.o.A.R. or M.A.R. not used. ScratchMarshall (talk) 00:34, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

Notability
[edit]Given that just a few hundred people turned up, and the "rally" was dwarfed by a gathering of Insane Clown Posse fans, I would seriously question the long-term encyclopedic notability of this (non) event. I should know, having earlier in my Wikipedia career been on the wrong end of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2015 London general election protest and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2015 Reclaim Brixton protest. AusLondonder (talk) 15:56, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- @AusLondonder: I'm not sure, I still think there is potential for a standalone article here, based on sourcing. Yes, turnout was low, but that's part of what's being reported, given the initial goal of 1 million attendees. Not to mention, several notable people and groups are mentioned in the article, so there's a little more to the story here than "just a few hundred people". I definitely recognize your concern, but hope we can give a little more time to see what sourcing emerges. I could see this being a short but helpful addition to Wikipedia. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:43, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- Maybe merge, to an article created for the purpose. Just as we have Protests against Donald Trump we could have an article called something like Rallies in support of Donald Trump. Such an article could link to March 4 Trump, Patriot Prayer#Trump Free Speech Rally, Portland and include and/or link to other pages or post-inaguration rallies in support of the Trump Presidency.E.M.Gregory (talk) 17:00, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Another Believer: You are right about the reporting - it is almost becoming more notable because of its failure. @E.M.Gregory: That seems like something worthwhile to consider since we haven't even passed a year of him in office yet and we've already got so many individual articles. AusLondonder (talk) 18:05, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not ready to merge content into Rallies in support of Donald Trump (or similar), but I do support such an article as a companion to Protests against Donald Trump. I think the new article should include a brief summary of the Mother of All Marches, but we should keep this standalone article for a more detailed overview of the event. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:08, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

- I suggest that we discuss merging to Pro-Trump Demonstrations.E.M.Gregory (talk) 17:14, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you for creating Pro-Trump demonstrations. I think having a summary of the Mother of All Rallies is appropriate, but we should not merge the entire article. ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:37, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
Not also known as M.O.A.R.
[edit]Even its Facebook page has #MOAR. Reliable sources use MOAR, not M.O.A.R.[1] Doug Weller talk 08:28, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- Weller's suggestion looks right to me; it does not seem to be in use and should be removed.E.M.Gregory (talk) 17:15, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
- Seriously? The promotional artwork in the infobox even has "M.O.A.R." ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:24, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
Major changes on april 22nd
[edit]I reverted this [[2]] for a number of reasons:
-The lead paragraph was not NPOV anymore -Too many different changes all in one edit- I would suggest that editor make different changes in different edits. -Some nicely sourced material was removed -It added in facebook, twitter and instigram links -It was listed as a minor edit, which it obviously was not
to name a few.
I am not saying all the changes were bad or wrong... just too many different ones, with some problematic ones, all in one edit. TantraYum (talk) 06:11, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
- I agree with your revert. ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:26, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
