In this sentence, I'm not sure which is correct "Moon Dog Mane were a rock band..." or "Moon Dog Mane was a rock band...". I read somewhere (that I can't find right now) that you should treat a band's name as a singular entity and not a plural, even though it is made up of multiple individuals.
