A fact from Monument to Alexander II (Moscow) appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 21 August 2006. The text of the entry was as follows:

There is also a statue of Nicholas II on his knees nearby. Perhaps we could have a few words about it, either. --Ghirla -трёп- 07:35, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
NPOV anyone?
[edit]What about the massive opposition to rebuilding a statue of a thief and a tyrant which was demolished for good reason. Once again money usurps the will of the poeple.
- People can spend their money how they want, what you said was way more POV than the article--64.75.187.197 04:29, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Request for 2nd photo
[edit]It would be nice to add a photo showing the optical illusion, if such can be found. Regards, Ben Aveling 08:21, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
