[edit]I've given it my best. I hope to fuss on this from time to time. I aim to redirect all the other pages associated with MIRA to this page. Enjoy I sure did learning about MIRA. Sgerbic (talk) 22:06, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
Did fine tuning to article and added several templates above. RobP (talk) 23:42, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
The importance is currently rated as low. This is arguable going by the guide, which says that private institutes are low importance, but dedicated research observatories are of mid importance; MIRA is both (its Oliver Observing Station is a dedicated research Observatory) -- Lowell Observatory is the only other organisation to which this applies in the USA. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:647:CE00:DBA0:8D30:6E49:F281:1521 (talk) 08:38, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
Weaver's Name
[edit]Wm. is an abbreviation for William. "Wm. Bruce Weaver" is how he has always written his name throughout his career. See, for example, his MIRA website profile: https://www.mira.org/researchareas.htm or any of the Newsletters archived on the same website, or his ADS indexed publications: https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/search/filter_author_facet_hier_fq_author=AND&filter_author_facet_hier_fq_author=author_facet_hier%3A%220%2FWeaver%2C%20W%22&fq=%7B!type%3Daqp%20v%3D%24fq_author%7D&fq_author=(author_facet_hier%3A%220%2FWeaver%2C%20W%22)&q=docs(library%2Fw425yGR8QVGNj_9EidV1yg)&sort=date%20desc%2C%20bibcode%20desc&p_=0 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:647:CE00:DBA0:CD0B:1434:5E3:18 (talk) 15:34, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
