Hi, this is Mitch Kapor. My Wikipedia name is mkapor. As you can see from the article history, I do from time to time update my entry. I am aware of the general disinclinaiton for people to edit their own entries, but I am sticking to the strictly factual things like life chanfes. Mitch Kapor is a true genius

My name is Robert Abitbol and I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I have been following Mitch Kapor's work from the days he came up with Lotus Agenda. I believe that the mere fact that Lotus Agenda was not a commercial hit does not take away at my appraisal of Mitch Kapor: He is a true creative genius. Lotus Agenda and Chandler are works only a genius could have created. Most people don't understand the first thing about Chandler. Would they know, they'd agree that Chandler is the best PIM ever programmed. I have been using Chandler since the end of 2011 and I am in the process of adapting one of the applications I have had programmed to work with Chandler. It will be called The Chandler companion. This will make anyone who wishes so to be perfectly organized. The only electronic agenda I have ever worked with apart from Chandler is Wordperfect Library. It was also an excellent application. I believe that what makes Mitch Kapor a genius is the fact that he designs himself the apps he needs for his work. I do also. They say Necessity is the mother of invention. Very few people are aware of this but Lotus Agenda was the very first real attempt at artificial intelligence used for the determination of categories and also the first attempt at artificial intelligence that ever succeeded. It was also a heck of an idea! This being said, let me say this: How many individuals dead or alive can boast that they have created two types of software. Not many. Well Mitch is perhaps the only one who can say that. He created Lotus Agenda and Chandler. Chandler is so unique that it needs to be considered in a class of its own. I think the key to Chandler is that it needs to be explained better. I will do just that in the book I am writing. I want to give justice where justice is due and salute Mitch Kapor as who he truly is: A true genius. I also want to salute two other unsung heroes of the computer revolution: Bill Gates and Swiss-born Steve Ballmer. A lot of people might not like those two but anyone with common sense will say that they are probably the two greatest marketing visionaries who have ever lived. They are role models for anyone who is interested in business and marketing. They too deserve the term genius to describe them. And finally in my hall of fame, there is Ward Cunningham, Ben Kovitz, Jumbo Wales and Larry Sanger who have achieved the biggest source of knowledge ever: Wikipedia. But how could I forget the late Steve Jobs who designed what was to become the model for all operating systems: Mackintosh. But guess who designed Lotus 123? Mitch Kapor. Brillant inventor, this Mr Kapor! In closing I'll say this: Whenever Mitch Kapor speaks, I listen. I can't wait to see if he cames up with a third brilliant product in his trilogy! Keep it up Mitch! Those who truly appreciate great software truly appreciate your work. We're not many but we are out there and every time we stare at our screen using software you have designed, we never fail to say: This Kapor guy is a heck of a genius!
