Why isn't the South Carolina question relevant? More people have probably seen that clip than the rest of the pageant. Why doesn't it deserve to be mentioned? Theres tons of sources for it 134.53.176.203 01:45, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that none of those sources are being cited. It is true that she has garnered a lot of attention. I didn't watch the pageant last night, but a friend e-mailed me to watch her response on youtube, and they were talking about it on the radio this morning. Someone just needs to find a news article or other reputable source that discusses it. Someone might be able to use the youtube video as a source, but then all they could really say here is how many hits it got, because the comments on the video wouldn't be reputable sources to use for commentary. --DavidK93 12:27, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have now added a sourced description of the incident. --DavidK93 12:35, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Hopefully it sticks this time 134.53.176.203 13:39, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why the deletion?

[edit]

I'm new to wikipedia and just took a good deal of time and effort to create a page about Miss Upton only to have it speedily deleted. Why? Nothing I wrote in there was untrue. I cited several news articles. If we can have wiki articles about obscure Star Wars creatures, why can't we have one about someone that got over 2 MILLION views on the internet in a day?! WTF?! Here is a possible source, a number of others are on news.google http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/08/28/america/NA-GEN-US-Beauty-Queen-Geography.php http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=miss+teen+usa&btnG=Search+News —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gnmtndogs (talkcontribs) 15:58, August 28, 2007 (UTC)

The rule for Bios is that when someone is noteable for only one incident it's better to report on the event rather than the person. Seeing as the event is listed here and the rest of her life is probably not noteable, theres no need to create an article for her. Wikipedia:BIO 134.53.26.238 21:30, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The "map question"

[edit]

The infamous question and answer take up most of the "Final Competition" section.
Wouldn't you think it deserves a separate section, so it would also appear on the table of contents? Thanks 77.125.129.33 (talk) 04:49, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Winner?

So many photos, and yet none of the winner... – RVJ (talk) 01:04, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please edit on the lead as Miss Teen USA will return to its broadcast TV this year:

It was the final Miss Teen USA pageant to be televised on broadcast television until 2024, due to NBC failing to renew its contract. It was later broadcast over the Internet on the pageant's official website, its YouTube channel and on Microsoft's Xbox Live service. 120.28.65.135 (talk) 06:48, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
