Alternate spelling
[edit]Is Mysodendron an alternate spelling? I encountered it in an old Popular Science Monthly article: s:Popular Science Monthly/Volume 43/June 1893/Adaptations of Seeds and Fruits. If yes, can a redirect be kindly made? --Siddhant (talk) 10:32, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
- It probably is, but The Plant List only has Misodendrum, not -on as in the title of the article, so a bit more research seems needed. Peter coxhead (talk) 14:52, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
- It seems that the correct name for the genus is Misodendrum, and I have moved the page. Accepted orthographic variants of the name are Misodendron and Myzodendron. Although not listed in any taxonomic database I've yet found, Mysodendron does seem to be another incorrect spelling, so I'll create redirects for all three names.
