Thanks to @Fluorescent Jellyfish for acting so quickly on the PROD and adding sources. Over on the Japanese article the whole first source citation is an entire 21 page academic essay solely about him, with dozens of citations of other sources talking directly about him, so I was mildly shocked the nominator claimed he couldn’t find any in the nomination. If I have time the next week or so, I might dig through that article to add more details, but anyone else should feel free to as well. If for some reason we DON’T manage to, this is just a note to anyone considering AfD - there are a TON of Japanese sources out there - dude was a high level political and cultural figure during the period, and is well studied.
