... that the Church of England expected to distribute a few hundred millennium yews but ended up sending out 8,000? "It was expected that a few hundred churches would take up the gift of a yew sapling but in the end more than 8,000 saplings were distributed" from "Yews for the Millennium". Alliance of Religions and Conservation.
ALT1:... that in 2000, the Church of England planted 8,000 cuttings taken from 60 ancient yews? " more than 8,000 saplings were distributed" from "Yews for the Millennium". Alliance of Religions and Conservation. and "Eventually, six-inch cuttings were taken from about 60 — some of which were estimated to be 2000 years old." from Davies, Madeline (17 October 2019). "Are the Millennium Yew trees casting their shade?". Church Times. Retrieved 28 May 2020.
Struck ALT3 as misleading—the source itself does not say that a full 2,000 yews were planted by "bishops, celebrities and members of the Royal family". Some were planted by less famous people.
Hi Buidhe , I've unstruck ALT3 - it says "in 2000..." (ie the year 2000) not that 2,000 yews were planted. I've decapitalised millennium in ALT0 - Dumelow (talk) 05:21, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This article is new enough and long enough. The image is suitably licensed, the hook facts are cited inline and any of the hooks could be used (I prefer ALT0), the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:32, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
