- The article is new enough, long enough, referenced, neutral and no copyvio obvious. The hooks are sourced and interesting, and my preference is ALT1. The images in the article are free. QPQ done. Corachow (talk) 16:10, 16 August 2022 (UTC)

- Sorry, should’ve mention in the review. There are a few sources that are offline or require subscriptions. I AFG those. Corachow (talk) 13:07, 17 August 2022 (UTC)

Will review soon. It's unfortunate that this one has gone so long without getting a reviewer. Hog Farm Talk 16:29, 29 December 2022 (UTC)
- " it could not be taller than the Secretariat Building." - is this a reference to the United Nations Secretariat Building? If so, recommend linking
- Yes, and I have done that. Epicgenius (talk) 17:06, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- " The plan was controversial, and the New York City Planning Commission narrowly approved the plan in 1970" - is it worth saying why it was controversial
- I added a sentence about that. Epicgenius (talk) 17:06, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- Kevin Roche is never actually mentioned or cited in the body by name
- Oops. I've fixed this too (the sources do mention Roche). Epicgenius (talk) 17:06, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- "For example, after a delegate requested a rare liquor that was only available in the UK," - not quite supported by the source. The source (if I was looking at the right spot) just says that it wasn't available. The source says it's a scotch, so presumably if its an accredited scotch, it's going to be made in Scotland, but that doesn't narrow it down to only being available in the UK
- Fixed - the article now says "not available in the US". Epicgenius (talk) 17:06, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- " "A Visit to the Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza". LuxeGetaways. January 8, 2018. Archived from the original on September 28, 2021. Retrieved August 11, 2022." - not sure this is RS for these purposes. A dig through some of the advertising stuff they mention suggests that some of their "reviews" may be native advertising
- I replaced this with a reference from the U.S. News & World Report, which actually covers more stuff than LuxeGetaways did (and contradicts the number of meeting rooms cited by LuxeGetaways). Epicgenius (talk) 17:06, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- ""Millennium UN Plaza Hotel New York Launches Major Upgrade Initiative - Luxury West Tower Will Reopen in September 2012". Hospitality Net. August 11, 2022. Archived from the original on August 11, 2022. Retrieved August 11, 2022." - I believe there's a way to mark citations as press releases, do that here
Looks fine other than these few concerns, placing on hold. Hog Farm Talk 05:23, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Hog Farm: Thanks for the review. I have addressed all of these issues now. Epicgenius (talk) 17:06, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
Title Appropriateness
[edit]Please review and comment the title of this article as appropriate under [[ Wikipedia:Article title dos and don'ts]]. The hotel came AFTER the building was constructed. Isn't this advertising for the Hilton or Hyatt, or Millenium? Cheers, EliBigeez (talk) 23:25, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
- In my view, not necessarily, as Wikipedia:Article titles doesn't prevent brand/company titles from being included in article titles. The hotel passed through multiple owners over the years; Hilton was just the latest. The "default" name of this hotel, so to speak, is the United Nations Plaza Hotel, but its official name is the Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza. – Epicgenius (talk) 00:05, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, wrote too soon! spoke to a friend of mine another Wiki editor, and agrees with you. I thought it wasn't owned by Millenium, but alas it is! Cheers, EliBigeez (talk) 00:45, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
