Verifiability
[edit]Talk:Mike Harrington This page is not wholy true, by any means, but it is just a joke of a teenager and I can know that it can be edited to fit the neccesary guidelines for the site. It's not worth the trouble to remove, and would mean a lot to Mike if it was allowed to stay up under the conditions that it continues to be a non-derogatory page, towards anyone.

Well....
[edit]Doesn anyone know where Mr. Harrington is now? Still sailing, or what? -SwiftGeneration 19:33, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Removed this reference, [1]. which was against Harrington's round-the-world trip, as it does not mention that at all. It's just a brief review of Half Life 2. Rojomoke 23:17, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Mike is notable
[edit]I added a reference to Mike's gamasutra profile as that is the only piece of information I can link to about him personally. Mike co-founded the company that produced half-life -- a game that took down some major cash and some major awards. If that isn't notable, I don't know what is. --GonzosTorment 02:06, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- Have you read WP:NOTE, where it says "A topic is presumed to be notable if it has received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject," or Wikipedia:Notability (people) where it says "A person is presumed to be notable enough for a standalone article if they have received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject"? The fact that he is acknowledged in a database to be the founder of a company that made a lot of money, or the creator of a product that won a lot of awards, is not a substitute for notability as defined there, is it? Valve Task Force Re-vitalization
[edit] Attention, all contributors to the Valve Task Force and the articles it constitutes!
I am here to announce that I will be re-vitalizing the Valve Task Force, aimed at universally improving articles constituting Valve Corporation, their employees, associates and products. This specific task force has been dormant for quite some time and with two very notable releases coming out this year, I feel like this is the appropriate time to re-stimulate the general aim of this group. For those who are not already members of the Valve Task Force, feel free to add your name to our members list and contribute to whatever articles you feel your contributions may prove beneficial for. Valve, its products and notable employees have proven to be essential to the progression of the video game industry, so I'd like to make a call of arms for this cause.
