Tomorrow --K. Peake 20:18, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kyle Peake, tomorrow, I'll be at Universal Studiostudios after getting the Pfizer shot. Erick (talk) 00:56, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Magiciandude You can respond in one of the following days then, as I'll review today due to starting work for this week tomorrow. --K. Peake 06:46, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Remove the recording date, as it is only sourced as beginning that year
  • Remove the word studios from any of the ones in the infobox since that is of the same name as the parameter; Estudios Nadir is an exception because the first word only includes studios as part of it
  • Pipe Ocean Way to Ocean Way Recording
  • Wikilink uptempo per MOS:LINK2SECT
  • Pipe pop to Pop music
  • Wikilink power ballad
  • Remove wikilink on piano per obviousness
  • Pipe percussion to Percussion instrument
  • "three music journalists who felt it was" → "three music journalists, who generally considered it" with the pipe
  • "Commercially, it topped" → "Commercially, the song topped" plus start a second para at this point
  • "later covered by Puerto Rican singer Robert Avellanet on" → "covered by Robert Avellanet on"
  • "album Sentir (1999) as" → "album, Sentir (1999), as"
  • "peaked at number 23 and nine on the" → "peaked at numbers 23 and 9 on the US" per MOS:NUM
  • "respectively and was a" → "respectively, and was a"
  • Mention the accompanying music video in a sentence after the above one

Background and composition

[edit]
  • "in the US." → "in the United States." per MOS:US
  • "on December 1995 and was" → "in December 1995, before it was"
  • "composed for the was" → "composed for the album was"
  • Wikilink uptempo per MOS:LINK2SECT
  • "power-pop ballad," → "pop power ballad," with the pipe and wikilink
  • Remove wikilink on piano
  • Pipe percussion to Percussion instrument
  • Either reword the lyrical meaning sentence to make it clear that the lover is Enrique if the source shows this, or change the lead to saying "deals with one" elsewise.

Promotion and reception

[edit]
  • This section is largely out of order currently; the reviews and commercial info for the original should be at the very end of the section, with Enrique's release info coming first then the cover version
  • "Similarly the San Antonio Express-News editor Ramiro Burr felt it was" → "Similarly, the San Antonio Express-News editor Ramiro Burr felt the song to be"
  • "chart where it spent three weeks in this position." → "chart, at which it spent three weeks."
  • ""Miente" was later included on" → "The song was later included on"
  • "on his debut studio album" → "for his debut studio album" to be less repetitive
  • "and was produced by" → "and produced by"
  • "at number 23 and nine on" → "at numbers 23 and 9 on" per MOS:NUM
  • "and playing billards" → "and playing billiards" but move this sentence to being the one after the award
  • "was a recipient of the" → "received the" to avoid repetitive wording with the lead

References

[edit]
  • Lack of copyvio score due to most of the sources not being online articles
  • Wikilink AllMusic on ref 1
  • Remove wikilink on AllMusic for ref 2
  • Pipe Billboard to Billboard (magazine) and Nielsen Business Media to Nielsen Holdings on ref 7
  • Shouldn't ref 9 say Hearst Communications for consistency? Either way, pipe to the article of the same name.
  • WP:OVERLINK of Houston Chronicle and Hearst Communications on ref 12
  • Pipe The McClatchy Company to McClatchy on ref 21
  • Pipe RMM Records to RMM Records & Video on ref 24

  • Good

Final comments and verdict

[edit]
@Kyle Peake: Done, this was easier than I thought it would be and my appointment for the Pfizer shot doesn't come until 12:30 PM EST and the Universal trip has been pushed to tomorrow. Erick (talk) 14:55, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Magiciandude Nice to see a quicker response than expected, but there are still a number of issues that haven't been fixed. The word "studios" is still being used for the first one listed in the infobox, you forgot to end the pipe to pop music, power ballad should be wikilinked to itself per MOS, you need to change nine to 9 per MOS, the cover info all belongs before the song's reception per the title of promotion and reception. Once these are all fixed, I will be happy to pass the article! --K. Peake 15:42, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kyle Peake, Oh yeah I think I got those in the lead. If I don't respond today, it's because of the vaccine's side effects. Erick (talk) 17:37, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah the lead does look better... the power ballad and nine issues exist in the body too, just for a reminder. --K. Peake 17:40, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kyle Peake, Got it! Erick (talk) 17:41, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This definitely looks better; all that needs to be done now is move the info for the cover version to all being before the original's reception, rather than only part of it being there. --K. Peake 17:47, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kyle Peake, I moved the commercial info from the cover version, but I'll be honest, I don't feel strongly about this structure. It's not something I've done for my other GAs in the past. Erick (talk) 22:53, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Magiciandude  Pass, I did a bit of copyediting by moving the info for the cover to earlier than the reception of the original apart from the chart positions, as that would not make sense with those being before the positions of the original. --K. Peake 06:39, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
