[edit]An external link to this site has been deleted several times because the home page contains ads. But this is a legitimate site that offers a great deal of valuable information. I don't think it should be disqualified just because it has a few ads to help pay the bills (so does the New York Times). I came across this controversy because the webmaster complained in the comments section of a NYT story about Wikipeida. I think he has a legitimate complaint. The best thing we can do is to use the information in that site to improve the article. Please consider doing that before deleting the external link. LeSalle?
[edit]The island was not called Île des Fleurs by LeSalle. It was named by Fr. Louis Hennepin on August 6, 1679
