French?
[edit]The infobox states that he is of "French-American" nationality, but the text implies he was from Italy (Kingdom of Naples). I know at various times Naples was ruled by France, but apparently not in his era, as the article itself states he was drafted to fight against France. So I am confused. Maybe it's French since France won that battle and ruled Naples briefly as the Parthenopean Republic (1799, he left in 1800)? I'm going to change it to Italian since I think that's closer to true. 70.175.192.217 (talk) 02:36, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
Paintings of USS Constitution versus HMS Guerriere
[edit]My personal interest prompted me to contact PEM to confirm they had all four original paintings. Several artists have copied his paintings; they are usually listed "…after Cormè". At least one watercolour of the subject is attributed to Cormè. (It was auctioned as such but, unfortunately, that isn't a suitable reference, so I haven't mentioned it in the article.)
