I don't fully understand how this goes against the guidelines set out in BLP. Could you point to a specific section? Michael Zyda is being sued for sexual harassment and workplace discrimination by a former student. This is a statement of fact, not an opinion, and stating a fact is not libelous. Court records exist which prove this claim, and it has been reported by the University's newspaper. In terms of undue proportion, it's one of the very few things that actually show up in Google News when you search this person, especially given that three of the four references on the page are already essentially self-promoting career highlights. 2A02:8084:5144:D80:91F9:DCC:E03A:4E47 (talk) 22:44, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:BLPPRIMARY, we don't use court records. My reading is that a WP:RSSM source is not good enough in the WP:BLPCRIME context, or even generally any "Contentious material about living persons." And if the Daily Trojan is the the best secondary source available, IMO this event also fails WP:PROPORTION. Feel free to discuss at WP:BLPN.
