Does anything think there should be more about the Tyson fight here?

Reference #2, the Lotierzo article, documents all facts previously tagged. Unfortunately, it's an 'Internet Wayback' page, so I'm copying the body of the article and the URL, which I'll post to this page, if the the article does disappear. Tapered (talk) 05:31, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum: this concerns the 'Amateur Career' section. Tapered (talk) 05:32, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth

[edit]

Encyclopædia Britannica says Spinks is born on July 13th. I have changed the birthdate accordingly. I have however added in a note that Sports Illustrated in 2010 had him in a list of persons born on July 22nd. July 22nd is now several places on the net, but this quite probably because of the 2010 article in Sports Illustrated. Any website published or edited after 2010 is bound to be unreliable because of Sports Illustrated.
-- Britannica is a very reliable source. They will however change their information if anyone can provide reliable sources. When there was a controversy over Jimmy Wales date of birth they changed their entry in accordance with the copy of his passport which was provided to them, see Researcher's note at the bottom of their biography, https://www.britannica.com/biography/Jimmy-Wales. If they change their biography of Spinks Wikipedia should follow suite. In the meantime Britannica is a reliable source and what they say goes. --ツDyveldi ☯ prat ✉ post 18:36, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
