[edit]Hello. I am trying to edit the page for Michael Capponi. I am paid, which I noted on each of my edits.
Furthermore, I believe I have accurately explained my edits.
Before beginning, I must note that my client Michael Capponi was in a boating accident with Brooke Biederman. He was not at fault for this accident. Nevertheless, the Biederman family is trying to defame him. If you look at the history of his page, on July 14, 2017, a paid editor added substantial content to his page. This same editor also updated Dan Biederman's page the same day. I am explaining this to you, as the Biderman family has a vendetta against Capponi, which should not be voiced on his Wikipedia page. They are biased editors.
Secondly, as I explained in my notes -- the first change I made involved NO deletions. I just moved his Early Life section down to the bottom, which I have seen done on many pages.
Thirdly, I moved up a few sentences from his Career to Early Life. Once again, nothing was deleted.
Fourthly, I did delete two references -- both of which are blatantly false and even though articles were cited, there is nothing in these article confirming these sentences. They are lies.
- In the 1980s, he promoted roving parties at a different location in South Beach every weekend, to escape the focus of police and regulatory authorities.[1]
FALSE: The parties did not move because of the police. They rotated out of creativity. It was cool to have rotating parties.
- In the 1990s he was close friends with Chris Paciello, a former Cosa Nostra associate and South Beach nightclub owner who was convicted of murder, with whom he owned music production company C&P Music.[2] He credits Paciello with getting him off heroin by sending him to a detox center.[2]
FALSE: They did not own a record company together. Furthermore, this is an attempt to link my client to the "Cosa Nostra, which is defamatory.
I kindly ask you to restore the edits I made. They are within the guidelines of wikipedia. Furthermore, the fact is my client is being targeted by the Biederman family (see the edits/additions of July 14, 2017).

- This is the right place to request assistance for article changes; as a paid contributor representing the subject, your involvement in editing the article must be minimal. That there are long term problems is evident from the overall promotional tone and name dropping in the article. Re: the content you find objectionable, much of it is well sourced, so the origin of its inclusion here is irrelevant, as long as the content is presented in a neutral manner and is not unduly emphasized. I've referred this to the BLP noticeboard as well, to gain additional attention and assistance. WP:RELIABLE sources are the foundation of content--merely stating that content is false, in bold faced print, won't gain much traction. Thank you for your notes.
ONCE AGAIN, I'm not sure how you don't see a COI from the July 14 edits that came from an emissary of Dan Biederman. Please look on the history of that day. The same editor made changes to Capponi's and Biederman's pages.
SECONDLY, The two items I bring up are patently false. Mr. Capponi did not own a record company with Mr. Paciello, nor did he move his party due to the police. Neither of these have cited sources. The sources that are cited do not say this.
LASTLY, I am being transparent by letting you know I am helping the subject clear his reputation against a blatant COI.
Thank you so much, --Jacquelynn — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dovelandsb (talk • contribs) 20:08, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
- Those edits are not problematic--yours are. The sources support the claims specifically. Your transparency--after hundreds of edits to this article--is appreciated. The COI is because of your involvement here. If this persists, I will ask for a block of the account. Thank you, 2601:188:180:11F0:C154:1F1A:21D8:7E70 (talk) 20:13, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
Negative Information Only
[edit]My friend's wikipedia page has been edited so only the negative and sometimes false information remains visible (In his Personal & Early Life Section). I added a sentence to his wikipedia page, THIS..
On August 19, 2015, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission released a final report on the accident and “neither victim was cited in the crash,” thereby exonerating Capponi. [1]

It was instantly deleted even though I have a valid, cited source. Why wikipedia??? Settherecord (talk) 00:35, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
- There have been multiple attempts to remove mention of Mr. Capponi's friendship with Chris Paciello. It's well documented and relevant, as Mr. Capponi himself has credited his friend with helping him kick a drug habit. 2601:188:180:11F0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 03:35, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Dear Wikipedia Editors,
I am the subject of a living biography page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Capponi
There hasn’t really been much interest by editors my bio page until recently. I got into a boat accident with my girlfriend, Brooke Biederman. We were both hospitalized but she was in a coma. She kept our relationship a secret from her parents. They forbid me to see her after the accident and her Mom threatened to sue me if I contacted her again. She has woken up from her coma and I believe leads a normal life now. I don’t know if she fully remembers me.
Her father, Daniel Biederman has a wikipedia page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Biederman
I believe the same editor, or group of editors, that have edited Mr Biederman's page have attacked my biography on wikipedia. The family has gone through tremendous lengths to manipulate facts and attempt to disparage me. The accident was not my fault whatsoever but regardless, they have a very negative agenda. I respect Wikipedia very much and I highly doubt that you would tolerate these type of tactics. There were over 78 referenced and cited things on page that have all been removed. Instead they have only placed negative and out of context info on page. Wiki is supposed to be a neutral place, and this editor or editors are being directed by her family, who has a dispute with me. I am sorry that this dispute has involved wikipedia. I’ve read on wikipedia that individuals involved in a significant legal or other off-wiki dispute with the subject of a biographical article are strongly discouraged from editing that article. It is clear that it's them, as the editor who edits the Biederman page just so happens to be the one trashing mine. I don't have a problem with some of the quotes but they do not in any way tell a complete story of who I am.I encourage you to read these articles and explain to me why none of these articles are allowed to be referenced.

I ask that you take a look at my biography. I did ask a friend to edit my page, which I later learned is not allowed. The Biederman editor is trying to defame me and link me to a mob group. I believe this editor, or team of editors are being pid by her father and trying to smear me, defame me, and are committing libel. It seems this editor has another COI on a page he edits and has been asked by others if he’s paid. I hope me alerting you to this editor can help others as well.
Please let me know your thoughts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:586:4804:d2c0:61e:64ff:feee:c2d3 (talk • contribs) 17:51, August 21, 2017 (UTC)

Is This Entry Acceptable?
[edit]Hello, I stumbled onto this biography page and I'm having a bit of trouble with the fact that a paid employee of the subject spent days of their time over years cultivating and policing the entry through hundreds of edits, even apparently engaging in an edit war. I'm confused because that doesn't seem to be in the spirit of what Wikipedia is - or, I thought, was - and I am possibly just mistaken.
It's the thought of this becoming a trend that most concerns me. If everyone with the resources to pay for this service does so, what would happen to the integrity of Wikipedia as a whole? I'm sorry if this comes across as long-winded or combative. I'm finding it difficult to see the neutrality. Thank you, thoughts are welcomed and I'm eager to revisit my position.
