Book
[edit]Shouldn't more mention be made of the book this game was based on? There is a mention in the beginning but that is it --MercZ (talk) 16:22, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
OnLive
[edit]The game is being ported to OnLive, it is listed as a launch game on OnLive's website.--FifthCylon (talk) 01:59, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
Book>Game
[edit]I am currently reading the novel upon which the game is based and was wondering if anyone would object to a plot comparison section, ala novel-movie adaptation pages WookMuff (talk) 23:44, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- Hi! I've been wanting to add a section under Plot for the setting in where the game takes place, and perhaps some detail or history about those places. I would love any advice into what I should do or add. Thank you! --Dtominio (talk) 16:48, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
Graphics card
[edit]Why is the GeForce 8800 in the required graphics card section? Isn't 'GeForce GT220 and above' sufficient? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.137.97.59 (talk) 02:33, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- Logic would dictate that to be true. Unless the 8800 is not part of the GT220 series. I would look it up. Larrythefunkyferret (talk) 03:23, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- The GT 220 is two generations newer than the 8800. If anything, it should say "GeForce 8800 or above" — albeit, the 6 and 7 series chipsets are also SM3.0-compliant according to NVidia, although not necessarily by Microsoft's standards. - Thatfield977 (talk) 18:33, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Enhanced AI
[edit]The article says "enhanced AI." Enhanced from what?? Perhaps the author meant "advanced," in which case a comparison may be worthwhile. (An "advanced" rock is still a rock.) - Thatfield977 (talk) 18:30, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
health system
[edit]"The game features recharging health rather than a traditional health points system—if the player avoids taking damage for a period, his or her health will slowly recharge, however the player can speed up this process by using a stim from a medkit, which will almost instantly heal them to full health. When the player is severely injured, it may take over twenty seconds to return to full health." -This article "Some games, such as Hydlide, Ys,[4] Halo, or Fable, use a system of recharging health (or regeneration), where health points are regained over a short period of time (usually minutes). Others require the use of healing spells, skills, or items (such as potions, medicine, first aid kits, bandages, syringes, medical bags, herbs, and even food) to regain health. Many game systems incorporate both slow regeneration and instant-effect healing skills and items. "-The article on Health (gaming)
So it *is* a traditional health points system, as seen in Halo, newer battlefield games, etc. 207.159.187.115 (talk) 16:35, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
- A traditional health points system would be just a straight bar or percentage with no regeneration qualities. The self-healing features are a relatively recent thing (in relation to, for example, Ninja Gaiden (Nintendo Entertainment System), which has a traditional health points system). If you see a problem with the wording, you could point out that other games have a similar health system in place, with two or three (no more than three) examples. Just be sure it flows okay. Requested move
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: moved. Please note for future reference that obvious requests like this can be made at WP:RM/TR where they will be acted on in a matter of hours, rather than going through a week-long discussion. Jenks24 (talk) 06:50, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
Talk:Metro 2033 → Talk:Metro 2033 (video game) – Please move Talk:Metro_2033 to Talk:Metro_2033_(video game) due move of the article itself.. Abatishchev (talk) 12:41, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
Comment - You really shouldn't be making these moves unilaterally. Once the first un-move was done, that established the move as potentially controversial, and consensus should have been sought before enacting further moves. -- ferret (talk) 13:19, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
- Support move of the current (as of 16:36, 30 July 2012 (UTC)) Talk:Metro 2033 to Talk:Metro 2033 (video game) with redirect suppression to follow the article and preserve history of the talk page about the video game, then a new Talk:Metro 2033 can be created about what is currently a disambiguation page. Salvidrim! 16:36, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
- Support as per Salvidrim. -- ferret (talk) 16:40, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
- Supoort; do we seriously need to vote to move a talk page to stay with the article it goes with? Some guy (talk) 04:06, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
- Technically yes, not as much for the sake of consensus as because it needs Admin assistance to manage the edit histories. Salvidrim! 04:09, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
