Thanks for cleaning up my changes. I was just now looking at how to make the picture a thumbnail.

Microcar jokes.

[edit]

An image I found, apparently an add, entitled "Technische Übersicht" calls one of the four models "Messerschmitt-Kabrio-Limousine". (I thought American adds were too "hard sell".)

as to if

[edit]

I disagree with this edit. [[1]] What I had been reading was Physics Today': Physics Today, July 2004, page 53, Physics Today, July 2004, page 47'. --David R. Ingham 02:32, 24 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Kits

[edit]

It says there's a reproduction kit available. Details? -Litefantastic 18:22, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The UK company Tri-tech Autocraft [2] (website currently down, but I found they can still be contacted by phone on +44 17723 14299) sell replica kits for GBP 2650 or assembled ones for GBP 8800 upwards. They also have Isetta kits available. -Cohen the Bavarian 09:17, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Streets of Simcity (SC4 exp)

[edit]

Look closely....... I'd get a screeny but lost my copy.

Canopy material

[edit]

The article suggests that original Perspex / Lucite / acrylic is somehow different from PMMA used in reproductions. Why is that? AFAIK, these are the same polymer. Andy Dingley (talk) 11:07, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Electric version?

[edit]

Heard that there was an idea for a Experiomental electric battery powered version too? true? Thanks!Andreisme (talk) 22:11, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have never heard of that. You may be thinking of the HMV Freeway of the early '80s. They sold a few electric models.
I could be wrong, though. If you have any documented information from a credible source about an electric KR200, please add the information to the article and cite the source.

Brazil

[edit]

Is it worth mentioning "In popular culture" that one of these was in the movie Brazil? Justfred (talk) 21:59, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to WP:TRIVIA and WP:WPACT, no, it isn't. It has been included and deleted several times. Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 23:55, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. For once, it had a fairly significant role, rather than just being a prop in the background. Andy Dingley (talk) 00:04, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
"It is not sufficient to note that the vehicle had a major influence on its owner or some movie or TV show—such facts belong in the article about the owner, movie or TV show." - WP:WPACT Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 00:46, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Only Service Car In Existence

[edit]

I saw what appeared to be a KR200 service car owned by a member of the Kootingal Motor Club (Kootingal, NSW, Australia) last weekend. If there are only 12 made, and only one in existence that would be highly spectacular. I suppose it is possible it is a service car replica, but I do not have the expertise to determine this.
