General opinion among classical musicians in Australia would be that Meale and Malouf's operas "Voss" and "Mer de Glace" are the two finest ever written here. Supporting references are on the way. I've also integrated this article with the enormously enlarged one on Meale as a composer in general. I would like to insert most of the dialogue of the great Scene 1 of Act II as transcript, but am waiting to see if it is under copyright.
