Current text is a nearly word-for-word copy-and-paste of Oregon HJM 6, 1995, without the "Whereases". Katr67 01:02, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If that's the case then it's a pretty serious issue. The language throughout this article is more dramatic than fits an encyclopedia, repetition of adverbs "exhausted, starving" every time "emigrants" is mentioned, "Everything possible was done to ease her distress as she lay in the wagon hovering between life and death but alas, to no avail. Sarah breathed her last breath at this camp" etc.
I was about to do a little cleanup -- but if this text is copyright, then it needs a total rewrite. I couldn't find the text of Oregon HJM 6, 1995 (Year of Meek Cutoff Trail, 1995, House Joint Motion 6) just this reference to it: http://www.leg.state.or.us/95reg/pubs/index.txt
Does anyone have the actual text? Voila-pourquoi (talk) 14:35, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
