Spoilers
[edit]Should we include the information about Ankoku Daishogun, Stroheim + his daughter, Archduke Gorgon, Kenzo and so on, or are those spoilers? Remember, this is a new show for new viewers as well as the old. They're supposed to wonder who these characters are, which is why things like Ankoku Daishogun being leader of the Myceneans or Stroheim's daughter being a robot haven't been stated in the narrative just yet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bisondollars (talk • contribs) 19:47, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Yes, they should be included. Spoilers are part of the Wikipedia. It doesn't matter whether viewers are old or new, or whether someone thinks that they should be avoided. Check the Wikipedia spoiler policy. What could be added is some text stating that some of these events happened in their respective original series. But a spoiler is not a valid reason to exclude information. Jfgslo (talk) 21:00, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Alright, thank you for the clarification. bisondollars (talk) 11:47, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- Spoilers should be included, but they should also be included in the correct place, and once they are verified as accurate. Basically, just because something is true in the other Mazinger series doesn't mean it will be true in this one, so it would be a mistake to include it here until this particular series confirms it. (No idea how much Imagawa's changing, but it does seem to be a bit of a reimagining in many ways.) Doceirias (talk) 04:54, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
- I partially agree. While some of the characters have been given full descriptions based on their previous appearances, all of them have already appeared on this show as well, and what has been shown does seem to indicate similar roles. For example, the Ankoku Daishogun description seems correct to me because it explains his role in other series (which appears to be the same on this one) and also states that his current role is not yet fully disclosed. The ones that in my opinion need modification are Dr. Schtroheim as we don't know yet if in this series he is also a former collaborator of Doctor Hell or if his daughter is a robot again and the same with Viscount Pygman in the part where it says that he's the third servant of Dr. Hell as we don't know that in this series yet. But I think they'd be better with a note establishing that those were their roles in other series instead of deleting the current information. Deleting information would be taking out the completeness of their descriptions. They are going to change in the future when their roles are fully known anyway. But since they have already appeared in the show, it's only fair to give an indication of who they are. Jfgslo (talk) 23:09, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
- Schtroheim being a former collaborator of Dr. Hell was implied in the first episode, I think. Not as a henchman, but as part of the archaeological team excavating Bardos Island, along with Dr. Hell and Juzo. Of course, he didn't witness what was behind the statue of Zeus which is why he doesn't feel involved. bisondollars (talk) 17:38, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
