Notability
[edit]As a member of the SES, McFarland held the equivalent rank of a 2 or 3 star general, which, by analogy, makes him notable per se. There are WP:RS'ed news articles regarding him and his projects and activities, which pertain to other WP articles. The notability tag should remain, but more work is needed on this BLP stub. It should not be considered for deletion based on notability. --S. Rich (talk) 15:50, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

Moreover, on official page Senior Executive Service we can read - The official repository for all Army Executive and Senior Professional program information (to include the Senior Executive Service) is the web-site for the Civilian Senior Leader Management Office (CSLMO). You can reach this site by clicking on the first link below and entering your CAC PIN code. Army Civilian Senior Leader Management Office (CAC Only). That's all. --Vanquisher (talk) 13:00, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
- The "CAC PIN code" links require a "Common Access Card" (by which the US government ID card is read through a card reader) and are not accessible to the general public. As they require registration, they fit under WP:ELNO number 6 and should be removed from this article. – S. Rich (talk) 14:39, 14 August 2013 (UTC) And I've removed the two cslmo.army.mil links. 14:51, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

- Thanks for the clarification. I had removed the second version, not catching the different spelling. An editor's comment is all we need to demonstrate this is not a typo, so the standard black typeface is restored. This is not a big issue in that the sources may have misspelled his name. With that in mind, red (or yellow, blue, purple, green) typeface is not needed. – S. Rich (talk) 19:55, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
