Birth date

The recently added source (Politico) only verifies Hiltzik's birth day and month but not his birth year. Any reliable sources that can verify the year? —Eustress ^talk 16:34, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Understood, just not sure if there is a source that has them all. However, most sources indicate the age of Hiltzik, which then can be combined with the source of date and month to know the year as well.(AEAA (talk) 20:13, 11 June 2012 (UTC))[reply]

promotionalism

I have removed a considerable amount of promotionalism from the article. The details of what he did for his various customers are shown in the references--I kept essentially all of them, though I removed a long quotation not primarily about him from one. It now reads like an encyclopedia article, not a promotional web page. I think I did enough to prevent a second AfD DGG ( talk ) 23:36, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
