I think the sentence "Only one of the four "causes" (the efficient cause) approximates the concept expressed by the English word cause." is not accurate. It's true that the english word cause does not fit very well with the notion of material cause, but I think that it fits quite well with the idea of a final cause. Also, I've seen the terms "cause" and "causality" used in scientific and philosophical literature quite frequently to refer to final causes. Cazort (talk) 02:56, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
