Although not a boy
[edit]Currently the piece reads: Although not a boy, Mary's birth was very much looked forward to. Until the birth, they wouldn't have known whether it was going to be a boy or a girl. Ordinary Person (talk) 03:13, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
- I deleted the sentence. Ordinary Person (talk) 05:48, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
birth and death date
[edit]The death date and burial date is different on this page than on her fathers page James VI and I, at the bottom of his page. Which one is correct? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kosbartiffany (talk • contribs) 05:33, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
Image
[edit]Hi Howcheng, Mary Stuart is scheduled for OTD tomorrow 8 April. Looking at the picture on the article, it doesn't seem to be of a one or two year old. Has the wrong child been chosen for the extraction? JennyOz (talk) 11:07, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
- @JennyOz: That's certainly possible. The National Portrait Gallery description page has the names of who's in the image, but doesn't actually identify who's who. Not only that, but File:Princess Margaret (1598-1600).jpg was also extracted, and yet she isn't listed on the NPG page at all, so that could be completely wrong. Alexcoldcasefan did the extractions, but they haven't made any edits in a long time, so it might be better to remove the image from the page. —howcheng {chat} 20:41, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks Howcheng, perhaps Alex had access to some other identifying info. It will remain a mystery for now. JennyOz (talk) 05:58, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
