Requested move 3 April 2016
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: pages moved. There is no consensus primary topic. Too early to assess the long-term significance of the young singer. wbm1058 (talk) 17:46, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
– Singer has received four times as many views in the last 90 days,[1] and after looking at "what links here", some of the links are actually intended for the singer. In addition, the director's article has four references; the singer's has 55. Unreal7 (talk) 19:02, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- Support – disambig page makes more sense than primarytopic here. Dicklyon (talk) 20:19, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- Move the director, but move Mary Lambert (singer) to Mary Lambert. This is a WP:TWODABS situation, so a hat note will be more effective than sending everyone to a dab page.--Cúchullain t/c 14:55, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- Switch primary topic to the singer and just list the director in a hatnote, per Cuchullain. I think there is just about enough there to call the singer the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. — Amakuru (talk) 15:19, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose a primary topic. I think the singer could be argued to be getting hits because of recentism, and they both appear to have decent claims of long-term significance. Support a dab page. Nohomersryan (talk) 14:21, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
No preference for whether or not Mary Lambert (singer) is the primary topic, but definitely support moving current ptopic to Mary Lambert (director). Chase (talk | contributions) 03:36, 27 April 2016 (UTC)- Additionally support move from Mary Lambert (singer) to Mary Lambert after some consideration. Chase (talk | contributions) 19:58, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- Switch primary topic per Cuchullain and Amakuru. Recentism is not an issue here because the long-term significance of the singer is higher than that of the director. SSTflyer 07:33, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

I've just about finished disambiguation of over 100 pages. Help needed with:
- Confirmation that the singer made a 2003 children's album as a 14-year-old; see Talk:Mary Lambert (singer) § Sing Out Summer Fun. The article on the singer says that she has been active just since 2011.
- Which Mary Lambert appeared on the September 22, 2014 episode of Live! with Kelly and Michael? See List of Live episodes.
It would be neat if Mary Lambert (director), who directed many videos of artists including Madonna and Janet Jackson, directed a music video of Mary Lambert (singer). wbm1058 (talk) 23:10, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
Just a note that we also have:
- Category:Films directed by Mary Lambert
- Category:Music videos directed by Mary Lambert
- Template:Mary Lambert
