Etymology
[edit]This article gives the etymology as "mare (horse) + skalkoz (servant)", but the Sima article (linked from this page) gives it as "mare (horse) + skalkoz (master)" (emphasis mine). Which one is it, servant or master? Xavius, the Satyr Lord (talk) 11:23, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- Never master; skalkoz = servant. But the reason why it is interpreted as master is similar to the concept of "master of horse"; master of horse for whom? Probably should link to the same surname meaning Sima_(Chinese_surname) especially because of the circa 300 folk tale about the alien who told the children who would eventually rule the world.68.32.154.213 (talk) 13:07, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
Philip?
[edit]Why is Philip listed as a related name without any explanation? I for one am at a loss with this.Pomodecon (talk) 02:17, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
- Both names have to do with horses, but there is no real reason to make that link. Zacwill (talk) 03:16, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
