WikiProject class rating

[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one article was rated and this bot brought all the other ratings up to at least that level. BetacommandBot 23:30, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clean-up

[edit]

I stuck the cleanup tag on as the article, with its year by year break down looks and read badly. Needs a top down re-write and a more logical approach to breaking Skaife's career into sectios. --Falcadore (talk) 21:27, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article Issues

[edit]

I just added an ArticleIssues tag to the top of the article. I included the POV tag that was previously there and added FanSite and RefImprove. I used FanSite because I think this article includes a large amount of detail that will be of little or no interest to non-fans of Skaife. --Fruv (talk) 04:27, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Statistics alterations

[edit]

Has there ever been any official announcement that a) the results have been changed - and b) the results can in fact be changed? The lack of sourcing suggests a revert is justifiable.

It is extremely hard to justify the alteration of seven year old results - what else could be changed - could Rick Kelly have his 2006 title stripped?

If so - how does this affect the rest of the results? Who was second, who was third? In the complete absence of explanation is it not more correct to refer to the results as finalised at the time according to series regulations and supplementary regulations, as there is AFAIK no power to reverse these after the fact?

Is this not a political fudging of records? --Falcadore (talk) 02:27, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

V8 Supercars has officially changed its approach to this twice, first crediting Skaife with the win in Adelaide before remiving it after an investigation of the Supp Regs for that meeting were quite clear about a round win. This is why the numbers on his figures have changed first to credit him with 40 wins and then with 39 - which is now the official score. Aclarke42 (talk) 01:18, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Post retirement activities

[edit]

I don't know the details but I believe these should be mentioned:

  • Car of the future development
  • "Administrative role" (that stopped him from competing as co-driver in the endurance races)
