Callahan's residence
[edit]Callahan has lived in both Salem and Eugene in the past, but currently, to my knowledge, lives in the Portland area. As can be seen here, Callahan would have had to have lived in the area since 2015 at least, otherwise he could not have run for the MHCC Board of Directors. It may have been a social media post I had read in the past few months in which he stated he was in the Portlnd area; I will have to search when I have time. However, this Oregon Live article from earlier this year refers to him living in Salem. It's entirely possible that he's moving around.
- I just double-checked; the zone that Callahan ran to represent on the MHCC board in 2015 includes Portland, Parkrose, and other nearby areas. ALPolitico (talk) 02:22, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
- According to a Facebook comment from October 1st of this year Callahan made on his campaign page, he currently lives in the Portland area; the comment is on a post from September 30, which has a link to a radio ad. ALPolitico (talk) 04:52, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
- An IP claiming to be Callahan changed his residence to Portland from Salem a couple weeks back. MB298 (talk) 05:02, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, he tends to do that. If you want a laugh, go and look at the history of the United States Senate election in Oregon, 2016 page. He's the reason it's semi-protected until April 2017. ALPolitico (talk) 05:30, 22 October 2016 (UTC)

Eugene mayoral bid
[edit]According to the Oregon Secretary of State's website, at one point around 2011, Callahan had formed a committee to run for Mayor of Eugene. He ran for the legislature (and President) instead, as can clearly be seen in the article, but I haven't found anything else on the abandoned mayoral bid. If anyone finds a news article or anything, though, it may be worth adding. ALPolitico (talk) 04:03, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
